FAQs

Where does the race start and finish?

Currently, we are working on the details but once approved, the race will start and finish at Civic Plaza in Downtown Albuquerque. 

Is the course USATF certified?

We are currently working on its certification. 

Can I register on race day?

Unfortunately not. 

Is there a time limit?

Yes, road closure and safety are ensured for all runners under 6 hours in the marathon. 

Can I transfer my registration to another runner?

Unfortunately not. You can change your registration to another distance on your runsignup account for a fee of $12 and any additional race registration price difference.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are allowed until August 31, 2025 11:59pm MDT. Please note, the initial registration's processing fee is non-refundable, plus a race refund processing fee of $4.99. 

Do you offer deferrals to next year?

Yes, for a fee of $15 you can defer your registration to the next year's edition. This option is available only until October 15th, 2025. 

When and where is packet pickup?

EXPO Packet Pick Up will be available all day Saturday, Nov 1st. LOCATION TBD

Can someone else pick up my packet?

Yes, just have their confirmation QR code. 

Is there race day packet pickup?

Unfortunately not. Come the day before or have someone else pick up your packet. 

Is this race approved to be a Boston qualifier?

TBD

Where should I park?

Civic Plaza Parking Garage  • Convention Ctr Parking Garage

What if it rains or there is bad weather?

The event will take place regardless of weather conditions. 

Will there be gear check?

Yes, and a bib number required. 

Are strollers allowed?

Only during the 5k event, individuals with strollers must start toward the end.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately not. 

Are headphones allowed?

Music devices with headphones are allowed for runners who are not competing for prize money. Those wearing headphones must remain aware of their surroundings and pay attention to announcements. 

Will there be water and aid stations on the course?

Yes. Map will be available with details closer to the event. 

Will there be medical support on the course?

There will be medical support at the start/finish line. In case of emergency, call 911. 

Do finishers receive a medal?

Every finisher will receive a medal. Bib number must be visible once crossing the finish line to receive a medal.

Will results be posted online?

Yes, the results and live tracking will be available on our website. 

Will there be photos of the race?

Yes, we will have a professional team capturing those awesome moments. Link with photos will be displayed on our main page. 

How will the post-race party look like?

We will have food trucks, vendors, snacks, water, and drinks around the staging area. There will be a recovery zone with ice baths, recovery boots, massages, stretchers, and a beer garden for 21+. There will be a DJ and a stage for people to hang out, take photos, and enjoy the post-race accomplishments. There will be a photo wall, props, ONE ABQ sign, a gigantic chair, hot air balloons, race mascots, and much more. The Fan Zone will be for all spectators to make cheer signs, for kiddos and not only - face painting, hair braiding, and more.

What is the full schedule of events for race weekend?

Saturday, November 1 — EXPO + Evening Races

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Pick up your race bib, timing chip, and shirt

  • Shop official merchandise and visit sponsor booths


Sunday, November 2 — Half & Full Marathon

7:00 AM
START of the following in that order: Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k, and kids mile (exact times will be available closer to the event)

Post-Race Festival (7:30 AM – 1:00 PM):

  • Finisher medals & photos

  • Live music & local vendors

  • Beer garden (21+ with ID)

  • Kids zone and family activities

  • Awards ceremonies
