Bring your school spirit to the streets of Albuquerque!

The ABQ Running Fiesta is inviting local schools, student groups, sports teams, orchestras, cheer squads, and community organizations to join our Mile Adoption Program: a one-of-a-kind opportunity to showcase your pride, support runners, and WIN funding for your programs!

How it works:

• Adopt a Mile: Choose a specific mile marker on the course to “adopt.” Your group will become the official spirit crew for that mile, cheering runners as they pass and creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

• Show Your Colors: Bring your school banners, dress in your team colors, wear mascot costumes, and get creative with signs, balloons, and decorations.

• Bring the Hype: Bring out the marching band, pep squad, cheerleaders, or even a school orchestra; the more energy, the better! You can bring a Bluetooth speaker to elevate everyone's experience.

• Compete for a Grant: After the event, the Top 10 Cheer Stations (judged on energy, creativity, and community spirit) will each receive a $1,000 grant to support their programs. We will have a voting box for participants to vote and post-race survey!

• Promote your school or group: Get your name out there in front of thousands of runners, spectators, and local media.

• Support your community: Be part of an event that brings people together and showcases the spirit of Albuquerque.

• Earn funding: Help fund new equipment, uniforms, travel, or special projects for your school or organization.

1. Request Your Mile: Submit a form to request your preferred mile marker (first-come, first-served).

2. Get Creative: Plan your theme and gather your spirit crew.

3. Make Race Day Magic: Show up ready to bring the noise and make a difference!
