ATHLETES WITH DISABILITIES DIVISIONS
The Albuquerque Marathon is proud to offer three official divisions for Athletes with Disabilities: Handcycle, Mobility Impaired (MI), and Visually Impaired (VI). These categories are available in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K distances. Our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive race experience for all. Each division follows clear eligibility and equipment standards to ensure fairness and safety. Athletes may compete with guides or assistive devices as outlined in our official AWD policy. 🌟 SUPPORT
The Albuquerque Marathon is proud to support schools, youth athletic teams, and community programs across New Mexico. Your donation directly funds these initiatives. We will also donate to other non-profits that you can choose from during registration. 

As part of this initiative, all registered schools and youth teams will be assigned a cheer station along the race course. These groups will bring energy, culture, and creativity to the course — and we’re giving back in return: The top 10 schools or teams with the most engaging cheer stations will receive the highest financial support.
